Minor Adjustments by Katherine Morgan
Wedding photographs are hard work. I'm not sure if this image, by Katherine Morgan, was made as hired help or simply shot as a guest/observer, but it's good. It tells a story far more interesting than plastered smiles and straight shoulder-to-shoulder poses ever could.

so this photo looks like a wedding photo and perhaps a mediocre wedding photo, is this the future of photography? If so I'm feeling sorry for it!
Tom-
I thought so too until I realised that the women were holding one another's dresses up in an effort to get the wedding photographer his best possible shot. I liked that this seemingly plain wedding snap tells a bit of a story and perhaps at the same time says something about how false these ceremonies often are. I say, give it another chance. Perhaps Ms.Morgan has a series of these and if put in the proper context, the way we look at this photograph might be a bit different... and perhaps not.
For a photo to be "good" it doesn't always have to be stunning or in your face. Sometimes, if done properly, it's the little things that make the shot.
And as for the future of photography, I think we'll be alright.

I actually agree with Tom, this is a mediocre photograph with serious technical mistakes, I think it was a bad judgment to select this image but hey not all of us have fabulous taste :-) and I agree the future of photography is okay, I'm sure they will 500 better contenders than this one
You're concerned with technical mistakes? You're in the wrong place, guys. Did you even read what was written? "It tells a story far more interesting than plastered smiles and straight shoulder-to-shoulder poses ever could." I definitely have to agree with that. This isn't America's Next Top Wedding Photographer; it's an art competition. I think this entry is fine.
