Sounds great! With the huge variety of things to apply for, it's wonderful that we can now do most of the important ones online, but it's also sort of daunting and hard to tell what each is looking for. I'm really looking forward to hearing a bit of the behind the scenes stuff.
It might just be me, but there does seem to be a theme running through the general style of some, if not all of these pieces. One wonders if there is an understated style that appeals to the contest's organizers. Perhaps even a look that at this time might be supporting the photography market whole or in part.
I don't mean to detract from the winning pieces, I just mean that perhaps other aspects of photography could have been better represented; street photography or abstract photography for example.
how about some color in these photos?! everything looks like it was dragged backwards through a mud puddle.
